Just now I watched the swarm of 30 or more young people rampaging through a Nordstrom in a popular mall in Los Angeles stealing thousands of dollars of goods while trashing the store. Last week I saw authorities closing scarce athletic fields in New York City to construct taxpayer funded shelters for unlawful newly arrived immigrants. Free food and shelter while millions of American citizens and veterans are less well tended. Then I switched to the thriving houses of prostitution and drugs popping up throughout the city staffed by the newly arrived with little to do.
I saw the heartbroken parents grieving on the anniversary of the loss of the 13 proud U.S. soldiers killed by the suicide bomber as we executed our hasty and ill-advised retreat from Afghanistan, surrendering a key strategic air base and billions in lethal equipment in the process.
I switch again and see that only the brave actions of a Delaware judge prevented the son of the President from receiving a tap on the wrist and permanent immunity for heinous crimes against our country. The bag man for the Biden Family extortion racket gathered tens of millions of dollars over a decade on his father’s name, and yet a friendly hometown US Attorney was prepared to give him a free pass and a permanent get out of jail free card. The neutral judge necessary to rubber stamp the deal saved the day by noting its uniquely favorable terms for the defendant and pausing the proceedings. Our system’s ingenious design tries to have checks and balances.
I then saw the President, under growing pressure and in receding cognition, appoint the very same hometown US Attorney as the all-powerful Special Counsel to take over the case of his own family graft. This potentially illegal act (the Special Counsel is required to come from outside the government to assure no conflict of interest. That is why they’re special) is beyond cynical in its utter disdain for the American people looking for fair justice.
Is this all part of a dystopian Netflix television drama? It gives me no pleasure to recount these things, yet they don’t seem to register broadly for some reason.
A blizzard of indictments after multiple failed impeachments almost too comical were they not so tragic
And yet, some still have the gall to primarily complain about former President Trump? It is a rare specimen indeed who is fully aware of what is taking place in our country, and can respond by saying “yeah, well that Trump is just…” Fill in the blanks. It seems tunnel vision of the worst and dangerous kind. The issue may be that indeed- too few are made fully aware via the suppression of inconvenient news, an important aspect of the strategy. But that cannot be an excuse.
This is the sad insincere campaign strategy for the Ruling Party, which seems to increasingly emulate the CCP in China. They know if they can sustain the “Trump is bad” and indict him for everything except jaywalking, they have a chance to hoodwink the outraged Republicans into nominating the fatally flawed Trump again. Even those of us desperate to move past Trump grow angrier with this despicable plan. Only with Trump as the opposition do the Democrats have a chance, so it is understandable why the less moral among the party leadership would pursue such a scorched earth strategy. They need to run against Trump at any national cost.
The part that belies understanding, in fact so puzzling to believe, is how many ‘regular’ Democrats seem not to care about the deterioration spreading across the land, but dutifully follow the siren call of their deceitful and censorious leaders. As for whom the Democrats would proudly offer as an alternative, gaze in wonderment. And perhaps consider the advice of Jesus- “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Amen.
